Big News ...
Well, it is to me ...
Hey readers! As promised, here's the post I was talking about. Yesterday, I got some good news. The publisher got back to me. They've reviewed my manuscript and have decided they want to add Loyal to their published family!!
I was so excited to get the news, I was jumping up and down for a good five minutes! This is huge for me. Since it's my first work to be published, I am very happy to get this news.
The president of the company sent me a very informative email about how their process works. There was a video and all. I am to work with the publishing consultant that I have been talking with for the past two or so months. That's fine because, according to them, they have a whole team to take me through the process. It all sounds great, and am very excited to get the process started.
There's just one thing that's nagging me. Although they are a publishing company, I have a feeling they're a self-publisher. In the email, there was a line that eluded to this. I emailed my consultant asking her about it. So, I hope she will be able to clear this up for me.
If it is, I'll have to see how much their services will be, and then compare them with the other self-publishers I've been looking at. And, if that is the case, I'll submit to another publisher that I've found. There's also the option from Amazon Crossing where they take my manuscript and translate it into different languages. That sounds like a neat opportunity as well.
All in all, their service sounds like it would be top notch, and I hope to take advantage of it and work with them. It's still great news, and I am so happy to know that they liked my book. I knew I had something special when I started writing it, and now I have the validation.
It feels amazing! So, until the next post ... <3
