Crunch time!
Hey readers! I hope this post finds you all doing well on this Friday afternoon.
Yes, that's right. It's crunch time for me. I have a deadline of Monday, December 11, 2017 to get my manuscript off to the publisher. I am both excited, and terrified.
But, that leaves a little less than half the book to be edited ... as of now. It's Friday afternoon, and I'm down one editor. It's okay, though. I completely understand. Everyone has their own stuff going on, including myself. So, I will be buckling down this weekend, and cranking it out.
A little about the publisher. This is the first one I'm gong with. They seem legit, and they're interested in reading my story. I've been in contact with them for a little close to two months. They've been patient while I finished up the story, and even more so now that I'm sending it through my own editing process. But, I figure I'd give the editing process a good two weeks, and as it is coming to an end on Monday, I'd like to have the manuscript ready to go.
I was also researching the self publishing route. That may still be in the cards, but it's going to cost me a bunch. I know, I should see some good return after the book publishes, but I figure I will try to go with a publisher first. I am hoping they like the book and will want to work with me to market it.
That's the key to making this book happen. The marketing strategy. It's why I've created my email list with weekly newsletters, and also why I've started this blog. I want to get the word out that I am creating something good. It's entertainment for everyone. There's something in it for you, just be patient. I expect it to go through publishing early next year.
I'll end here with this. It's a picture of a sanctuary that will be in my second book. It's just what I imagine it to look like. I did not do this drawing, though I think it's is beautiful.
So, until the next time ... <3
