Newsletter ... and, more!

Hey guys! I'm back with another post. I'll talk a bit about the book, the first one, and a little about the journey I am currently on with it.

So, very early yesterday morning, I sent my manuscript off to the publisher. As soon as I finished editing and polishing it off, I pdf'd it, then sent it. I am hopeful that this first publisher will like it, and want to work with me.

It's both scary and amazing to think that this is all happening. For those of you who don't know, writing is my passion. I've been writing short, as well as longer stories, for as long as I can remember. Even while in college, I took a storytelling class, and found that I liked putting them down on the page than actually speaking them out loud. And, through my years of writing stories, I've found that I'm pretty good at it. Not trying to boast or anything, it's just something that comes naturally to me.

Now, I've been lucky enough to concentrate on my craft. For the last few months, I've been breathing life into this story that I am calling Loyal. It's an exciting tale about love, loyalty, and the passion each of them have for what they do. Of course, when I started on this journey, it was all about my main character, Ardis Anglewood. I had this idea that he would have to choose between the love he has for his King and country, and the girl he falls for. For him, she is the only one, his soulmate. But, he is also so wrapped up in protecting the King and helping to run the realm that he feels there is no room for a romance.

I love his character because for him, everything is so black and white, straight-cut and very to the point. He doesn't mess around, and he will tell you like it is. He is responsible, getting everything he needs done and in a timely manner. Ardis is a rock, he is the man. The King's right hand. This is the only life he's known for all his years with the royal family. He's sworn his life to service, but now, that's all starting to change because of the female lead, Elia Edlestien. She is the same in her work ethic as Ardis, but in everything else, she is the yang to his yin. They are quite opposite on every other level, but that is what attracts him to her. She is sophisticated, yet her head is in the clouds a lot of the time, dreaming of the life that she now lives. Elia hungers for knowledge, and that quality is another thing that brings the soft side out in Ardis.

Anyway, the next two pictures are screenshots of my newsletter. I send these out every week, and they are filled with information on my books. Similar to my blog, only I get to be more candid here than in my newsletters.

If you would like to subscribe, just leave me your email, and I will add you to the list. It's growing, and I couldn't be happier about that!

I'll end here since I am pretty tired. So, until the next post ...<3
