Slacking ... I know!

Hey readers! I am still here ...

Just want to fill you all in on what's been going on with me. I have been working full time again ... as a legislative analyst for a representative at the State Capitol. It fills my days with mostly research and keeping the bosses schedule. It's quite exhausting.

When I get home every night, I do most of the cooking in my house, so it's straight to that, then getting my daughter squared away with homework (which she normally does while I'm at work, thank goodness),  bathed and to bed. By the time that's all done, I am completely beat.

I haven't been able to get much writing done ... here and there when I'm not laying in bed watching youtube or Netflix! Unfortunately, that's all I have the strength for after a long day of working somewhere else.

Sigh.

So, today, I have done a lot more writing than I have in the past few weeks. It feels good to just be in front of my laptop with all my notes and typing away. I've been working on little things in the second book. By little things, I mean parts of the story that aren't all that action packed ... more informative and tying things together in the story.

As far as the first book goes, still looking for a publisher. I've, unfortunately, stopped that process as well ... due to my full time job. But, I am going ahead with it, and still looking. It has to fit and it has to be the publisher I want. I know they're out there. I just know it.

But, while it seems this full time gig is hindering my creative flow, don't worry folks! This job is only session work and lasts until May. Beginning of May. So, I'll have the rest of the year to concentrate on my craft and get the second book done, and the first one published.
It's still so exciting! Oh, and I haven't been doing my newsletters either, but I will eventually get back to those since I know you all enjoy them. That means a great deal to me.

So, that's it for now. Rest assured that the creativity is still there, and so are all my bright ideas for my trilogy!

Until next time ... xoxo!
