Lunchtime reading
It's lunch time and I'm taking a class this week. I'm on my lunch break now, and instead of writing, I'm reading a fanfic of one of my favorite games: Final Fantasy XV.
I know this post isn't really appropriate or geared toward my books, but I think it's a little entertaining. Anyway, I found this one website that has fan fiction stories of all kinds of games. Some write short stories, and others write novels-size stories. Most of them seem pretty good, but I'm picky when I choose to read one.
One thing about this site: I've noticed they aim for the main characters to be "in love" with each other. That's a little weird for me with the game I'm interested in. All four of the main characters are guys. Now, I'm not against reading about gay guys, but it's ... the GUYS! MY guys ... or, so I like to call them. And, yes. I am in love with one of the guys, so reading about him engaged with one of the other main guys bothers me ... slightly. But, sometimes I find that the stories are so interesting that I get into it, and start to really feel for them in their situations.
Sigh. Yeah ... ugh.
There was one of these stories that I was reading this past April. It was a long one, but so engaging! There were times where I was so happy for them, and others where I felt "why can't they be together?" Yeah ... it ended up being a real tragedy at times. But, I read through the whole thing, and I am so happy I did. It inspired me to write my own fan fiction about these characters. Well, not a gay fanfic, but I am currently writing one on the side of my trilogy. Go figure! Of course it had to be done since I am ... a writer!
Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you all. Hope you're all having a wonderful Friday!
Until the next post <3
