Hey everyone! Sorry for the Longo-wait, but I'm back with another post. So, needless to say, I never got back to the woman I was previously talking about in regards to publishing my book. Nevertheless ...
Book one is going to publishing as we speak! Yes folks, I caved. Self publishing it is! Don't worry though, I came a cross a great deal and thought that I should just nab it since this is my first book. I figure I can do it this way now and learn the process so that I can snatch up those bigger, badder publishing boys later!
I am still looking to secure a great agent since I finally figured out that an agent shouldn't cost me anything since they are there for me to grab those big guns, and then get paid from there. Makes sense, don't it?
Yeah, so I went with a smaller publishing firm who works out of a bigger one, and they will make sure all is well and good before my book hits the shelves. I am excited. Plus, this book has been sitting in my arsenal for over a year now and it's about damn time it comes out to see the light of day. Don't ya think?? Yes, I thought so.
So, while I'm trying to stamp out this wonderful post for y'all, my right eye ball seems to want to swim in it's own juice and is blurring my vision like you wouldn't believe. Ugh. It's annoying, but anyway ... I just wanted to share the news of my great happenings. I am happy and excited and I pray that this first book will be successful. Granted, I'm not going for marketing just yet. Publishing will just be editing, printing and distribution. I am planning to market the hell out of it, so please, PLEASE! Go ahead and slap down some mula and buy it. Also, please tell your friends, family, and the guy on the street that my book is ... well, amazing. Hahaha! You don't need to go that far, but your help is much much MUCH appreciated!
