Another Update

Hey readers! I'm back with another post.

I haven't been keeping this blog up to date very much, and I apologize for that. See, I'm not much of a social networker, I guess. When I'm on the computer, I'm on! And, you usually can't get me off. But, it's a struggle for me to even open up my laptop, let alone keep my blog updated. For me, it's really the last thing I want to do.

Don't get me wrong, I love sending updates out into the blogosphere, but it's time consuming. That's pretty much it. Although, when I'm on here blogging away, I'm loving it. So, with that, here's another update ...

I'm currently in the editing process with book one: Loyal. It's taking me much longer than I had expected since I wasn't really prepared as I had hoped. When your publisher sends your manuscript to the editing team, you can bet they mean business. I mean, wow! The work they do to make sure your finished product is worth a damn. It's amazing. Also, time-consuming. I've been going through their edits and it's taking a while. I never realized how many comma's I had missed, and capitalizations, even some of my wording. It's turning out to be a lot of work. Though, it's work that I enjoy.

**Side note: Lately, writing and blogging have been the last thing on my mind. This past March, I partially tore my achilles on my left ankle/leg. I've been in a CAM boot now since ... well, since March. Actually, I was in a cast for a month, then when that wasn't healing, they put me in a boot. I hate it. Absolutely hate it. So, it wasn't until 2 weeks ago that I had a surgery to clean out what they found. After I heal from the surgery, they'll go back in and repair the achilles.

This whole time, I've been getting more and more worried about my ankle/leg. While I'm losing muscle, I was scared they'll have to take my foot. But, infection never got that bad (thank goodness!), so here I am ... worrying if I'll be able to get regular function back in my foot and leg after the second surgery. Right now, it seems like it will be never. But, they tell me to take it one day at a time, and not to obsess. It's excruciatingly hard since this is my leg. I only have two and I need them both. Just wanted to share what I've been going through the past few months. I know, right? Yikes ... **End side note.

Back to the update ... I've sort of paused writing the second book until I've finished editing the first one. I need to get this back to the publisher with my map. One of my friends has been working with me to create it on the computer. I gotta say, it looks amazing! Once I've finished editing that, I'll send both to the publisher and hopefully things will get produced faster from there. Here's hoping!!

Til the next one ...
