Time crunch on the edits
So, the edits. Publisher's edits. They are pretty detailed. I know they have to be, but it's taking me a while to go through them. It's getting to be ... kind of annoying.
Well, not so much annoying anymore, I guess. Lately, I've been feeling more like myself and up to working longer. Yes, working longer on the edits, not just on the writing. Of which, I've taken a pause on since the edits need to get back to the publisher as soon as possible. It's to the point where they keep asking me how I'm doing and wanting weekly updates. What else can I tell them but, yes, I'm working on it, so back off!! Haha!
Yeah, that's exactly what I did in the form of an email. Also, I had to tell them to stop calling since I am not a phone person and everything they want to discuss with me can be done over email. It's not that hard. I prefer it that way. I just hope I haven't made a mistake in going with this publisher. I had a really good feeling about them when I decided on it. But, I have a fear that all won't work out the way I want. I suppose that's just the way it goes. The fear of doing badly would be what anyone goes through.
Anyway, I'm still working on them and hoping to get them finished very soon. I need my book to be published and out for sale! I'm still excited, though. Very much so.
