Updates ... here and there!
Hello readers! I am back with another post with updates on just about everything going in the ways of writing. My latest news comes with the change of my book series to Love, and the Realm. I feel this title fits my story a lot better than my previous For Love and Country. Yes, I just blogged about it, but that was brief. Not wanting to get into too much detail, I simply want to say that the new title represents better the love that Ardis has for Elia is very much apparent, as well as his duty and love for his country, his realm.
I have been working on Tempted, the second book, and while it's still going slowly, it is coming along pretty well. I've been doing some organizing of the story, fitting in details where necessary and just expanding the story even more. I am thinking it's going to be a challenge, but I would like to finish a complete draft by April of this year. Yes, it will be a challenge, but one that I am up for.
In other news, the review board I had for my first book, I no longer have. Due to this person's change in relationship status, I no longer send him pages from my writings for his consideration. He did me well to provide a decent level of criticism on the first book, and his general ideas were often pretty good. But, I no longer need his prowess since my writing friend and I have been working together to achieve our writing goals for over a year now. I've recently met yet another writer who is one of our regulars at the store I work part time at. I haven't introduced him to my friend yet, but I'm sure it will come up at some point. Right now, I'm enjoying the time I spend with each.
A little in regards to things I've been up to: I just finished doing my divorce papers. It's taken me a really long time to finish, and now I just need him to sign a few things before I can take it all down to court for filing. It feels so good to get this stuff off my back! It's been there for years, and it's not because I still love him. I do not. It's taken me so long to complete because ... I'm lazy in that respect. All the paper work to fill out was boring and mind numbing. BUT, I've finally done it, and I couldn't be happier!
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. How ... fun. I have my daughter to be my little valentine and that makes me happy. I don't need to be with someone to feel a special love. I already have all I need with her in my life. But, that reminds me ... I should put in a valentines day scene in the books. When the time comes around, I think I will. Might have to wait until the third book, though. I guess we'll see.
